Kawasaki have finally announced that Aussie Ant West will partner John Hopkins in their factory MotoGP team next year. This means that the Dani Pedrosa rumours are as daft as they sounded, and the Shinya Nakano rumours are probably false. It is now thought to be unlikely that Kawasaki will run 3 machines.
The MotoGP silly season is starting to wind down, after some of the silliest nonsense of recent years. There are now very few seats available, and all of the really good seats are already taken.
Pedrosa is almost certain to re-sign for Repsol Honda, after a delay while his manager bickers about the small print. Nobody really believed that Dani would leave the company that has nurtured him, and Honda are very unlikely to produce another rubbish bike next year.
